This photo was taken using my new Canon Powershot S5 IS. The quality of the photos is absolutely amazing. It’s actually much better than this photo, but I had to compress it so that it wouldn’t take hours to load. I’m still learning all the features, but I’m just absolutely in love with this camera! I can’t wait to take it with me on my next trip to Chicago. 
I’m still learning about all the features, but so far this camera has exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite features has to be the Color Accent. It’s just so awesome the way you can focus in on one particular color, and everything else is black and white. It’s a neat feature to have. The quality of the video is absolutely amazing as well! I think it’s even better than my sister’s video camcorder. I play it back on the computer, and it’s so crystal clear.
I also bought a webcam yesterday. My husband was able to get wireless on his laptop, and we decided to try out Sight Speed so we could video chat. It was nice being able to see him, though it took a while to get things going. First it was my microphone that didn’t want to work, then his wireless suddenly died on him. We chatted for a while this morning before he left with his friends.
When I was buying the web camera, the old man who rang me up started asking me if I was planning to post videos up on YouTube. I laughed and told him it was to chat with my husband, who was in the military. Then he started going off on how people these days post up crazy videos. He asked me if I had seen the video of the girl playing the Wii Fit in her underwear. I was a little more than grossed out at the fact that he had seen that video as well. My husband said he probably liked wanking off to it.

Your camera sounds amazing! I just got a new camera the other day, a Casio Exilim, and I HATE it. It takes horrible pictures. It either focuses on the wrong thing (e.g. the background instead of the item in the foreground) or it just doesn’t focus at all. I wish I could trade it in for something else.
To reply to the comment you left me: you’re lucky - I’ve already racked up that much debt in only two years! Yikes! My parents also make “too much” to be considered for financial aid that is actually helpful. I don’t understand why they don’t take into account other things that would seriously affect your finances, like certain debts. That would make a huge difference.
Ahhh I’m jealous! My friends all have the color accent feature too.. And I don’t :( It’s so much fun!
And as for the old man, well, I don’t know, I have a thing for old men (non-sexually). I love them, so maybe he’s just griping about how crazy it is!!

I almost bought the S5 IS when I was out shopping for a new digital. I just got the Nikon D80 though. I’ll definitely post pictures when I get it.
