Work is still wonderful, though I’m tired every night. I haven’t had a job since April, so I guess I’m not used to being on my feet all day and running around after children. Or maybe I just need new shoes?

Honestly, I don’t feel like writing out a big post of the things I’ve done over the past few days. Mostly because nothing exciting has happened, and I’m being quite lazy at the moment drinking Starbucks. It’s about forty degrees outside, and I’m freezing my ass off. Being a native Texan, I’m used to only two seasons: hot and hotter than hell. So this weather during this time of year is quite unsettling for me. :???:

Oh, but I do have a car now. We weren’t able to get the Lancer after all. The salesman refused to budge on the sticker price and it was a ridiculous amount to pay for what the car was actually worth. He was actually not helpful at all, so we ended up leaving the lot. There was a car lot next door and we decided to stop by since we saw a Cavalier out front.

The sales lady that greeted us was extremely helpful. We told her what we were looking for and she showed us all of the vehicles that fit our description and price range. She was really warm and friendly and we liked her right away. The Cavalier was definitely in our price range, but it was standard and I can’t drive stick at all. In the end, we decided on the red Volkswagen Jetta they had. Even though it was a bit more than what we planned to spend, she worked with the manager of the dealership to get us a good deal on it. They knocked off $1300 from the sticker price, and we were pretty amazed at that. About an hour later, we drove away and I was able to take home my not-so-new-but-new-to-me Jetta.

I’ll have pictures of the car soon. I’ve been hesitant to go outside unless I absolutely have to. It’s much too cold and wet outside to be standing out there taking photos. I’d much rather stay indoors until it’s time to leave for work.

So I haven’t had time to get online and update. Okay, so that’s a fat lie. I’ve been online, but just to check email and plurk a bit…then I get tired and sign off. I absolutely love my job and the kids, but I get home so exhausted that all I want to do is sleep. Last night I came home and ate leftovers for dinner, then passed out on the couch. Didn’t even hear the phone ring when my mother called me last night. :???:

Oh, but my job is so much fun! Granted it’s a bit chaotic in there because the children haven’t had constant teachers in there. I took the place of David, the big meanie according to the children. They also had a different teacher before that, but she just up and left one day. So, they’re testing me out and seeing what they can get away with, but they’re slowly finding out I’m not putting up with any of their antics. :haha:

I actually have the day off today, but this is due to the fact that I have no ride to work today. :sweatdrop: I still haven’t been able to get a car, thanks to many complications with our bank. The check is finally ready to be picked up today, though, so hopefully I’ll have a car by the end of the weekend, woot!

Since I have the day to myself, I’m making plans on organizing the classroom and setting up different centers. The afternoon is the most chaotic, so I’m developing some activities to keep the kids occupied. It’s going to be really hard, because these kids haven’t had rules established or anything. They just run amok and think they don’t have to pick up after themselves. Oh, and that’s a big issue I’ve been dealing with as well. I’ve got a plan for that, though and they’ll realize soon enough how important it is to clean up. They’re going to realize soon enough that they can’t mess with me.

Okay…maniacal laugh out of my system now!

Anyway, so definitely going car hunting this weekend. I’m hoping they still have that cool Mitsubishi Lancer on the lot we saw last weekend. I’m going to have to call up car lots this afternoon to make sure they’re still available. I’d hate to make a trip and find out the car has already been sold. That’s so annoying. :irked:

Wow, and why am I not surprised? Wordpress has already upgraded to 2.6.3. Ugh, I hate having to update so often. I think I’m probably going to wait until a significant version is released. Such a pain!
