Most of you probably didn’t even realize that I had been gone for so long.
My cable internet was barely reconnected again, a little more than two weeks since the hurricane hit. It’s been such a pain, but oh well. So much stuff has happened since I last posted here. I will still upload the photos of Hurricane Dolly, but I probably won’t post any on here. You can keep checking my Flickr account to view them. Also, I finally received the package from Rilla, for winning the contest she had last month. Rilla, I absolutely love it! I’ll be posting the photos from that in the next update, I promise!
The biggest news is that my husband is now home! He caught a late flight yesterday and arrived around midnight. He has leave for two weeks, and then we move to our new destination: Norfolk, Virginia. I have mixed feelings about the place. I’ve heard good things, and I’ve definitely heard some bad things about that place. I guess I won’t know for sure until I’m there. Anyway, good or bad, we’ll only be there for about a year before he gets a new assignment. I think it’ll be exciting anyway, being in a new place. Norfolk is definitely a much bigger city than my own little town, so there will be much to do there! I’m excited because they have a Borders and a Cheesecake Factory!
Anyway, I’m off to go have some more fun with my husband…or at least, the most fun you can have in a small town!
It’s only been a day that he’s been here, but everything finally seems perfect again. ![]()

I wouldn’t mind living in Norfolk. Another blogger I read lives there and she just loves it.
I’m so happy for you, that Rob is there.
Congrats on the win!
I definitely noticed you weren’t around! Glad to know you’re picking up the pieces after the hurricane…and good luck with the move! It’ll be lovely for you to have your husband back with you. :)
I’m not sure I could deal with moving so much! Or having to live in the south
My husband and I moved to St. Louis 6 years ago for his job, and even this is too much south for me. I can’t wait to get back to New England!
By the way, I looked at your wedding page. You looked stunning!
