Google and T-Mobile released something interesting today. Someone at plurk posted up a link to the Google press conference in New York, and I was pretty curious. I have never heard of their so called “android software” or the fact that they’ve teamed up with T-Mobile to release their new phone, the T-Mobile G1. So I decided to watch the press conference and see what the phone looked like. I have to say, it actually caught my attention. Not many phones catch my attention since I have everything I want with my iPhone. However, lately I’ve been looking into different phone models because it seems as though my iPhone is about to give out. The pixels on the screen are slowly dying. I’ve been researching models to see what phone I should switch to once it does go kaput. The Blackberry Bold was at the top of my list, but it’s not available in the U.S. Actually, the Blackberry Bold was the only one on my list!

So now I have the T-Mobile G1 to research. If it’s got everything that I want in a phone (and it seems like it does), then that might just be the next phone I get. The price isn’t too bad, either. It’s only $179 with a two-year contract. I’m not sure how much it is without one. I’ve always liked T-Mobile and now they have a phone that I consider to be similar to the iPhone. Obviously it doesn’t have iTunes or anything like that, but I hardly use my phone to listen to music. It’s what I have an iPod for (or had…I might have lost it, but that’s an entirely different story). I don’t know…it’s pretty intriguing.

In other news, I finally updated my Wordpress yesterday. I know I’ve done it many times, but I always get a little nervous. With my luck, something will go wrong and cause me to lose all of my files. I must have backed up my database in about five different locations. :???: But it was all for nothing because the upgrade went smoothly. Now all I have to do is wait a few days, weeks tops, for a newer version to come out. It never fails. :sweatdrop:

Oh em gee! Last night was the season premiere of Heroes! I’d been looking forward to the third season since last year and I was definitely not disappointed! I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so I won’t divulge any details (even though I’m dying to). If you did miss it, you can watch the two-hour special online. It was amazing, though! Heroes is pretty much the only show that still throws me for a loop occasionally. I can usually predict what’s going to happen in a movie or television show (most are so predictable these days), but Heroes kinda throws me off. My husband probably loves the show even more for that reason. He gets so annoyed when I make predictions (and they come true). :sarcastic:

Lint from our dryer. O_O Holy crap. It’s been taking me all day to write this entry (I leave and come back to it eventually) and I just finished taking out massive amounts of lint from our dryer. No wonder the dryer wasn’t working properly. It would take about two hours to dry a single load. That’s a freakin’ long time! I’m willing to bet the previous renters never even bothered to remove the lint. At all. I’m going to have to go and put in a request to get it looked at. I took out this much of lint, but there was still a whole bunch clogging up the vent. That’s got to be a fire hazard of sorts.

Oh, the dryer is done. Let’s see how the clothes come out now that I’ve cleaned out the vent (somewhat)!

This photo was taken using my new Canon Powershot S5 IS. The quality of the photos is absolutely amazing. It’s actually much better than this photo, but I had to compress it so that it wouldn’t take hours to load. I’m still learning all the features, but I’m just absolutely in love with this camera! I can’t wait to take it with me on my next trip to Chicago.

I’m still learning about all the features, but so far this camera has exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite features has to be the Color Accent. It’s just so awesome the way you can focus in on one particular color, and everything else is black and white. It’s a neat feature to have. The quality of the video is absolutely amazing as well! I think it’s even better than my sister’s video camcorder. I play it back on the computer, and it’s so crystal clear.

I also bought a webcam yesterday. My husband was able to get wireless on his laptop, and we decided to try out Sight Speed so we could video chat. It was nice being able to see him, though it took a while to get things going. First it was my microphone that didn’t want to work, then his wireless suddenly died on him. We chatted for a while this morning before he left with his friends.

When I was buying the web camera, the old man who rang me up started asking me if I was planning to post videos up on YouTube. I laughed and told him it was to chat with my husband, who was in the military. Then he started going off on how people these days post up crazy videos. He asked me if I had seen the video of the girl playing the Wii Fit in her underwear. I was a little more than grossed out at the fact that he had seen that video as well. My husband said he probably liked wanking off to it.
