Google and T-Mobile released something interesting today. Someone at plurk posted up a link to the Google press conference in New York, and I was pretty curious. I have never heard of their so called “android software” or the fact that they’ve teamed up with T-Mobile to release their new phone, the T-Mobile G1. So I decided to watch the press conference and see what the phone looked like. I have to say, it actually caught my attention. Not many phones catch my attention since I have everything I want with my iPhone. However, lately I’ve been looking into different phone models because it seems as though my iPhone is about to give out. The pixels on the screen are slowly dying. I’ve been researching models to see what phone I should switch to once it does go kaput. The Blackberry Bold was at the top of my list, but it’s not available in the U.S. Actually, the Blackberry Bold was the only one on my list! So now I have the T-Mobile G1 to research. If it’s got everything that I want in a phone (and it seems like it does), then that might just be the next phone I get. The price isn’t too bad, either. It’s only $179 with a two-year contract. I’m not sure how much it is without one. I’ve always liked T-Mobile and now they have a phone that I consider to be similar to the iPhone. Obviously it doesn’t have iTunes or anything like that, but I hardly use my phone to listen to music. It’s what I have an iPod for (or had…I might have lost it, but that’s an entirely different story). I don’t know…it’s pretty intriguing. In other news, I finally updated my Wordpress yesterday. I know I’ve done it many times, but I always get a little nervous. With my luck, something will go wrong and cause me to lose all of my files. I must have backed up my database in about five different locations. Oh em gee! Last night was the season premiere of Heroes! I’d been looking forward to the third season since last year and I was definitely not disappointed! I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so I won’t divulge any details (even though I’m dying to). If you did miss it, you can watch the two-hour special online. It was amazing, though! Heroes is pretty much the only show that still throws me for a loop occasionally. I can usually predict what’s going to happen in a movie or television show (most are so predictable these days), but Heroes kinda throws me off. My husband probably loves the show even more for that reason. He gets so annoyed when I make predictions (and they come true).
Oh, the dryer is done. Let’s see how the clothes come out now that I’ve cleaned out the vent (somewhat)! I have now found something else to become addicted to. Plurking. It’s kind of like twitter, but different. You get to comment on each other’s plurks and get karma for it. It’s addicting, let me tell you. You really should sign up and get your own. Add me, also. So I just finished reading the new Naruto manga, chapter 404. It’s getting so good, I swear. This past one was pretty emotional. I hadn’t cried over a manga chapter since Asuma’s death. I hate how I easily cry over the things that shouldn’t even matter. I get emotionally involved in everything. The Wii Fit seriously has been kicking my ass this past week. It’s been fun working out and unlocking new things, though. The more minutes you spend working out, the more credits you get to unlock a new activity. I unlocked the boxing one, and boy was that one fun. The strength exercises are really good though, and they made me realize just how out of shape I was! I have absolutely no core strength whatsoever, and my arms are just as weak. I have a hard time doing the plank/push-up exercises. They’re all challenging, but they’re all fun. My whole body has been sore from the very first day I started using them…even my feet (which is kinda weird, I know). I need to get back into shape, though. I hate how tight my clothes are starting to get. |
