It never fails. Never! Every time the weather starts to get cooler, I always get sick. Was it a coincidence that I somehow catch a cold right when we get our first cold front of the season? I think not. :annoyed:

I woke up the day before yesterday and I could have sworn my throat was on fire. I really wanted to rip my throat out and be done with it. However, I opted for some hot tea with honey and lemon instead of pain and carnage. :sarcastic: Now the only thing I have left to worry about is my horrible runny nose, the occasional sneeze attack, as well as the itchy and watery eyes that come with it. The only good thing to come out of all of this is the awesome Kleenex I bought to help with the runny nose. It’s the kind that has Vicks in it. I don’t know about you, but man do I love the smell of Vicks!! I take a new tissue out and just take in deep breaths to have that minty smell invade my nostrils. Ahh, relief!

I finally bought some medicine yesterday, though, so hopefully the symptoms will subside soon. I mean, obviously this thing has to run its course, but it doesn’t mean I should suffer while it does. The only medication I could find that fit all of my symptoms was a nighttime version, though. I didn’t really want that one because usually those kind knock me out quick. Then I realized that I would be able to take it during the day and take naps with a legitimate excuse!!

This weather is actually good for curling up on the couch with a warm blanket and a really good book. I currently don’t have any new books on me, but the library is only a few minutes away! Some recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Sigh. It’s hard to believe October is already here. The Halloween decorations are in full swing and I do believe there are some haunted houses or something like that here. I still remember the haunted house Rob and I went to last year, The Rotting Flesh Factory. We waited about two hours in line to enter the damn place, but oh my god was it worth it. Everything looked so realistic, and it was the scariest haunted house experience of my life! I believe the haunted house was located in an abandoned factory that used to be owned by a family of cannibals. :???: They had people eating people, and it looked so realistic. It still makes me shudder to think about it. Even at the end when you manage to get out of the haunted house and think you’re safe, a Leatherface lookalike comes out of nowhere and chases after you all the way to the parking lot with the chainsaw!!

Our little town had one of the best haunted houses. Mostly because the guy behind all that is obsessed with making things look as realistic as possible. He loves scaring people out of their minds, and it works. The lines every year for that haunted house are miles long. I’m kind of disappointed that I won’t be going to it this year. :worried:

We might just spend Halloween at home, passing out candies. I would have loved to throw a party, but we hardly know anyone here yet. Maybe next year we’ll do that!

I have now found something else to become addicted to. Plurking. It’s kind of like twitter, but different. You get to comment on each other’s plurks and get karma for it. It’s addicting, let me tell you. You really should sign up and get your own. Add me, also.

So I just finished reading the new Naruto manga, chapter 404. It’s getting so good, I swear. This past one was pretty emotional. I hadn’t cried over a manga chapter since Asuma’s death. I hate how I easily cry over the things that shouldn’t even matter. I get emotionally involved in everything. :sarcastic:

The Wii Fit seriously has been kicking my ass this past week. It’s been fun working out and unlocking new things, though. The more minutes you spend working out, the more credits you get to unlock a new activity. I unlocked the boxing one, and boy was that one fun. The strength exercises are really good though, and they made me realize just how out of shape I was! I have absolutely no core strength whatsoever, and my arms are just as weak. I have a hard time doing the plank/push-up exercises. They’re all challenging, but they’re all fun. My whole body has been sore from the very first day I started using them…even my feet (which is kinda weird, I know). I need to get back into shape, though. I hate how tight my clothes are starting to get.
