So I was cleaning out some stuff from some of the storage drawers I have, and came upon some of my old journals from middle school. Needless to say, I ended up cringing while reading through the entries. I never realized how boy crazy I was back then…or how immature I was! I was embarrassed just reading those entries. I swear if anyone had ever found my journal, I would be forced to flee the country. That’s how embarrassing those entries are!

I found one entry about an incident that I remember quite vividly, though. It may also be the only one that didn’t deal with cute boys and crushes.

I don’t know if I ever mentioned it here, but I lost my bracelet at school. I’m guessing I lost it during lunch. I discovered it missing during 8th period. I entered Mr. Vano’s class after searching for it in Mrs. Mac’s class and as usual, Mr. Vano was doing his over-exaggerated gestures and ended up hitting me in the face! How rude!

I always remembered that incident, even now. It was pretty hilarious, actually. Mr. Vano was such a character! He’d stand in the hallways while we switched classes and just start yelling out at random people and making huge gestures with his hands. In a good way mind you; he was never a mean teacher. Anyway, it just so happened that I was walking into his class from his right side and he didn’t see me as he swung those big, gorilla arms! I never saw it coming.

But going back to the journals, if you could even call them that, made me realize what a teeny-bopper I was! I obsessed over my school crushes on a daily basis (almost every single entry had some mention of what they did that day) as well as my celebrity crushes. My celebrity crushes were Chris Kirkpatrick from ‘N Sync, Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys, and Scott Robinson from the British boy band Five. I don’t know how I managed to grow up, but I’m glad that I did. At least, I’d like to think that I’ve grown up for the most part. In some ways, I am very much a child. But that’s mostly when it comes to admitting when I’m wrong about something. :sarcastic:

So I’ve decided to make a job for myself this summer. Seeing as how I’m spending my days lounging around the apartment doing absolutely nothing, I’ve decided to making losing weight this summer my “job”. I know this sounds kinda weird, but I think it might work. I’ve always said I would lose weight in the past, but I never actually did anything about it. Now I am.

I just finished doing my morning run. I plan on running three times a week and bike riding two times a week, always at seven in the morning. I figure if I keep a routine, I’ll be more likely to stick to it. I’ve always hated exercising, and no matter how “fun” people say something is, I can’t stand it. I’ve never really been athletic, so that makes it even harder. The only sport I liked playing was basketball, but it’s not really possible to round up a few people at seven in the morning for a game. :sarcastic:

I was watching Ellen the other day (she is so awesome), and she was giving away a Wii Fit to everyone in the audience. It caught my attention, so I went and looked it up online. It looks really neat, and I’m considering buying it maybe next month. I know I’ll probably get tired of running every day, so I might need something to spice things up. Monotony is the enemy of diets and exercise programs. Doing the same thing day after day will bore anyone. The yoga and cardio on the Wii Fit really caught my attention, though. I also like the fact that you can track your progress. It’s very pricey, though. Most places have it for $90 bucks, which I think is a little outrageous. I’m considering it, though, though I’m not sure if it’s worth that much. Do any of you happen to have a Wii Fit? I know it just came out, but I really want to know if it’s worth it.
