“I really like that new baby smell. Not after they turn a year, though. It’s like they expire or something.”

I honestly couldn’t stop laughing after my fiance said this. He’s too cute. :shy:

We were planning on visiting my brother and his new baby, but we didn’t because I was feeling too tired. I may be coming down with the flu or at least a cold. My body felt so heavy last night, and then I woke up this morning with a nasty sore throat. I never got a chance to get my flu shot because I’ve been so busy. :worried: Let’s hope this goes away soon. I have no time for being sick!

Rob and I got our first apartment together! We finally decided on a place and they will be having a loft apartment available by the first week of January. We’ll be getting it on the 2nd of January, so we’re going to try and move in all the big stuff (like the couches, dining set, and the bed) during those days. Then we can finish moving in everything else once the wedding on Saturday is over. Here’s what our apartment looks like (minus the furniture):

We have pretty much all the furniture already. We just need the small stuff, like kitchen appliances and stuff. Hopefully I’ll be able to get all that this weekend at my bridal shower. I can’t believe that next week is Christmas already! It just amazes me how fast this year has come and gone. We’ll be in 2008 before you know it!

Rob and I went to see I Am Legend last night. That movie was incredibly good. I have always thought that Will Smith is such a great actor, and this movie was no exception. Oh, and there was a part in the movie where they showed him working out. Let me tell you: Will Smith + no shirt + ripped abs = hotness. Several people (besides me) were probably drooling and the temperature may have risen in the theater just from watching that scene. :sly:

There was a really sad part in the movie, though. If you haven’t seen the movie, then I suggest you stop reading. The rest of this paragraph will contain spoilers. Like I said, there was a very sad part in the movie. If you’ve seen the previews, then you know that Will Smith has a German Shepherd in that movie. The dog’s name was Sam, and she risked her life to save Will Smith’s character, whose stupidity caused him to be in the situation that ended up taking her life. The “zombies” in the movie started getting smart, and they set up a trap for him. He ended up getting caught, and almost got killed by their attack dogs (who were also “zombies”). Sam was able to keep him alive, but she was infected with the virus and had to be killed in the end. I couldn’t help but cry, because it was so sad when he had to choke her to death once she started turning into one. I was probably the only one in the theater that cried for the dog, but it was so sad. Being the dog lover that I am, and seeing how I’ve owned two German Shepherds in the past, it really hit close to home when I saw this part.

Even so, I thought it was a really good movie. Another movie I watched this weekend was The Golden Compass. I wasn’t really expecting it to be good, but a couple of friends of ours wanted to see it. I was falling asleep at the beginning, but it got kinda interesting towards the middle. Especially when the armored bears got into the fight. I was shocked when the king of the armored bears had his jaw sliced off. It was pretty cool. I probably won’t see the sequels, but it was a good movie nevertheless.
