Rob and I went to the drive-in yesterday. It had been years since we last went to the drive-in, so I was looking forward to it again. They were showing TMNT & Shrek the Third. I was really looking forward to seeing Shrek, because the last two movies were so funny. So I was kind of disappointed with this third one. I didn’t laugh as much, and was kind of annoyed by the voice of Justin Timberlake after a while. Rob ended up dozing off towards the end, too. I still think Shrek 2 was the best one.

Ah, but we gave in to eating junk food at the drive-in. Everything looked and smelled sooo good. We just couldn’t resist (well, mostly I couldn’t resist lol). We had nachos, chili cheese fries, a chili cheese hot dog. Oh, and a burrito! That definitely wasn’t good for our diets. Granted we split everything, but still. I’m gonna work out hard tonight and do some serious cardio. :punch:

Damn, it’s almost time to go to work.

The ending of ER was pure crap. They chopped off Ray’s legs and he didn’t even end up with Neela! I’m outraged! :punch:

Anyway, yesterday was lots of fun. I celebrated my birthday yesterday rather than Thursday, because really, what can you do on a Thursday? Nothing, that’s what. Rob and I went to the beach to hang out with Eric and Janie. We went to eat at Dirty Al’s first. They have the best shrimp in the world! The fries and mozzarella sticks were also to die for, and their raspberry tea was amazing! Janie and Eric couldn’t make it to Dirty Al’s, but they met up with us afterwards to go to the beach. And that’s when the fun really started.

We bought drinks and snacks and headed out to the beach in Eric’s little Cobalt. Everything was fine until about 45 minutes later, when Rob and I were enjoying ourselves in the water. We realized that Eric and Janie hadn’t moved from the car at all, and they looked rather suspicious. So we got out of the water to see what was going on. Sure enough, we found out that Eric locked the keys in his car! I can laugh about it now because it’s funny, but it was no laughing matter at that moment. All the snacks were inside!!

Eric had originally just wanted to smash his little window to get the car open, so we asked the people next to us if they had a crowbar. They did, but they somehow managed to talk Eric out of it. They told us to wait for the police truck that comes by every once in a while. They ended up leaving about five minutes later. So we waited and waited, but the police must have finished his rounds for the day because he never came around again. :irked:

The only thing we had taken out of the car were the drinks, so we ended up drinking while playing a game of pictionary with the sand. After a few rounds of pictionary (in which Janie and I won), I mentioned that we should probably ask for help soon before all the cars started leaving and we’d be stuck all alone. So Rob and Eric went to walk over to the nearest people to ask for a crowbar again, only they came back with a huge piece of wood they had found along the way. Eric proceeded to hit the small window with it until it finally cracked. I really felt bad for Eric, cause now he has to get that window replaced. I’m pretty sure it’s expensive to fix.

After that, though, we were finally able to enjoy ourselves a little more. We left the beach around eight-thirty because it was starting to get pretty chilly out there. It was so funny though because we ended up getting stuck in the sand not once, but twice! The first time we got stuck because of some trucks that were blocking the path. So everyone got off to push except for Janie and me. We just sat there because we were pretty tipsy from earlier. We ended up getting off though, because the car wasn’t going even though some people were helping to push. Janie and I went to help and finally the car was freed from the sand. Janie ended up falling down twice, it was so hilarious. I was pretty proud that I pushed while not losing the bag of cheetos in my hand!

The second time we got stuck though, there were no cars nearby. So it was just me, Janie, and Eric pushing the little cobalt out of the sand. It probably wasn’t as bad as the first time we had gotten stuck, because we were able to get it out pretty quick. I’d like to think it was because of my muscle power. :sly: After that, we went to go eat because Janie and Eric were hungry and hadn’t eaten yet.

The fun didn’t stop there, oh no. Rob was driving home because I was too tired to drive. He let me sleep on the way home, only he had to wake me up because we had been pulled over. Apparently Rob had been swerving a little bit. After asking to see his license and my insurance (we were in my car), he asked Rob to get out of the car. The officer was talking to him for a little bit, then came over to ask me if he had been drinking. I wasn’t about to blatantly lie to the officer, so I told him he had a little bit of wine at dinner. I knew he didn’t really have a lot to drink, but I was hoping that it had already gone through his system. I don’t know what I would have done if they hauled him off to jail or something. The officer gave him a breathalizer test, but thankfully nothing came up. Rob just told the officer that he was a little tired, but he should be okay going home. It was a pretty good wake up call though, cause even I couldn’t go back to sleep after that! :tired:

I’m starting my diet today. Seriously this time. This muffin top has got to go. I’m going to try and hit the gym at least five days out of the week, and I’m going to start eating right again. Which means no more burgers, pizzas, fried foods, or sweets.
