God, last night was a total bust. My brother invited Rob and I (is that grammatically correct?) to a little get-together at his house. Of course, there would be alcohol involved because my brother is, after all, a bartender-wannabe. Today is the Royal Rumble! Rob and I are going to Buffalo Wild Wings as always to enjoy the pay-per-view there. I’m looking forward to seeing John Cena defend his championship against Umaga, as well as Batista defend his belt against Mr. Kennedy. John Cena and Batista better win. Otherwise, Rob will be rubbing it in my face the entire night. As for the actual Royal Rumble, I hope Carlito or Chris Benoit wins it. EDIT: Awesome! Both John Cena and Batista were able to retain their belts! Rob and I finally had the meeting with the priest today, thinking that we would finally be able to discuss the results of the personality profile we took earlier and be able to set a date (finally) for the wedding. Boy were we wrong! The priest didn’t even go over the results of the test with us, but rather only asked us a few questions. One of them just happened to be the million dollar question, “Don’t you think you’re a little too young to be getting married?” I swear, I wanted to hit him in the face (even if he is the priest)! Younger people than us have gotten married and are still together many years later. Older people than us have gotten married and have gotten divorced five years later. It doesn’t matter how old you are, as long as it’s something the both of you are ready for. I told the priest that this is something that we had discussed and it is something that we both want for ourselves. We are more than ready to face the challenges of marriage as long as we have each other. Corny, I know. Anyway, we have to call the priest back to set up another appointment with him so that finally we can discuss the test results and move on to the next stage of the “marriage program”. Plus, we also discovered that the retreat that is required of all marriage “participants” has a fee! We have to pay $160 for a retreat that the church is making us go to! |
AboutWelcome to hikari-chan.org! You've stumbled upon the weblog of a 23-year old latina. She is a newly wed, a lover of books, and a recent education graduate. She will mold the minds of young children, in hopes that they do not turn out like our dear President Bush.FlickrNow ReadingDaily Links |
